The Texas Rangers‘ late-September journey could have been the end of their MLB season. But in a plot twist, it set the stage for a team that might make history.

After clinching two victories in Anaheim, they fell in three out of four games in Seattle, leading to the Houston Astros snatching the AL West title from them. The stakes were even higher as they jetted across the country for a Wild Card face-off with the Rays. But, the Rangers outdid expectations, taking down the Rays and sweeping the Orioles. Their momentum was interrupted in the ALCS against the Astros, suffering three consecutive losses at home. Yet, their fighting spirit shone brightly in a crucial Game 7 at Minute Maid Park. The result? A dominating 11-4 victory and their third World Series berth that defied all MLB Lines

Adolis García’s and his supporting path to the World Series

MLB Player Adolis GarcíaIn the ALCS Game 7 showdown, Adolis García stood out. With a 4-for-5 performance, two home runs, and five RBIs, he’s made his mark in the Texas postseason history books. The game’s early momentum was set by Corey Seager’s 440-foot home run, followed by Evan Carter’s walk and a stolen base. García then scored Carter with a hit off the left-field wall. Their aggressive start had Houston’s Cristian Javier exiting the game within an inning, leaving Texas in a favorable 3-0 position with ace Max Scherzer pitching.

However, the Astros weren’t down without a fight. Jose Altuve’s double followed by José Abreu’s RBI single got the Houston crowd ignited. Scherzer found himself in a tight spot but managed a double play, ending the inning.

García’s magic wasn’t done. In the third inning, after facing a chorus of boos and an unsettling pitch, he hit another home run, marking his fourth consecutive game with a homer.

Alex Bregman’s response for the Astros? A towering home run in the bottom of the third brought the score to 4-2. When Scherzer was pulled in the third inning, Jordan Montgomery stepped up, holding the Astros without a run for over two innings.

The Rangers with a solid step toward the World Series

MLB Team Texas Rangers Wins AL 2023The Rangers solidified their lead in the fourth. After hits from Josh Jung, Marcus Semien, and Seager, rookie Carter and García each delivered, making it an 8-2 game. Nathaniel Lowe’s sixth-inning homer further extended the Rangers’ lead.

Manager Bruce Bochy, already boasting three World Series titles, displayed his Game 7 expertise. Remarkably, this is his sixth winner-take-all postseason game win and the second time he’s witnessed a best-of-seven series where the road team emerged victorious in every game.

García wasn’t finished either. In the eighth, he sent another ball into Houston’s stands, setting a pre-World Series record of 20 RBIs for a player. As he celebrated, he playfully beckoned the remaining boos.
