NFL Season 2022

2022 NFL Schedule: Release date, details and more

The NFL has released the whole preseason schedule for 2022. The NFL moved to 17 regular-season games for the first time in 2021-22, and there will be 17 games again in 2022-23 as a result of significant offseason improvements.

The regular season for 2022-23 will end on January 8th, 2023, while the NFL Playoffs will start the following weekend on January 14th–15th, 2023.

For the second year in a row, all but two teams will play three preseason games before the start of the regular season on September 8th. Because of their attendance at the Hall of Fame Game on August 4th, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders each play an additional preseason game.

When is the 2022 NFL Kickoff Game?

In the 2022 NFL Kickoff Game on NBC, Matthew Stafford and the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams will face Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 8th at SoFi Stadium.

Who’s the favorite in the 2022 NFL Kickoff Game?

Buffalo, the winner of the last two AFC East titles, is considered a Super Bowl favorite by many and will look to make a strong start against the defending champions, who return Stafford and much of their title-winning cast, as well as some high-profile additions like wide receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker Bobby Wagner, for what could be a thrilling curtain opener, so it won’t be an easy start for the reigning champions.

1st Sunday Night Football

In a rematch of last season’s NFL Kickoff Game, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will open the Sunday Night Football program against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

1st Monday Night Football

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos will travel to the Pacific Northwest to face Wilson’s old team, the Seattle Seahawks, in the first Monday Night Football game of the season.
