Eoin Harty’s undefeated colt Poster has emerged as a significant contender on the road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby. Following his narrow nose victory in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday, the Munnings colt now sits at number eight on the Derby leaderboard with 10 points. This marks the colt’s third win in as many starts, following earlier triumphs at Ellis Park and Keeneland.

Fierceness, the reigning 2-year-old male champion of 2023 and a top contender for 3-year-old honors in 2024 will not compete in the $3 million Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park or any Middle East races this winter.

The Maryland Jockey Club (TMJC) has announced the stakes lineup for Laurel Park's 2025 winter-spring meet. The meet will feature 25 stakes races with over $2.6 million in purses. This meeting marks the first under TMJC, a new nonprofit entity established by the Maryland Thoroughbred Racetrack Operating Authority (MTROA). Starting January 1, TMJC will take control of daily racing operations in Maryland and set the stage for an exciting racing season with boosted purses and revamped stakes.
