“King Henry” Should Win Third Rushing Title and make History

Derrick Henry’s Resilience: Defying the Curse of 370 with Strong Performance on the Field

With over seven seasons in the NFL, Derrick Henry has amassed an impressive record of 1,750 carries and 8,335
yards. He has twice led the National Football League in rushing, including a remarkable 2,000-yard season in
2020. The Tennessee Titans’ NFL Lines should once again benefit from his amazing performances.

As he approaches his 30th birthday, many skeptics believe that Henry’s best days are behind him, especially
considering the 382 touches he had in 2022, which puts him in the crosshairs of the infamous “Curse of 370.”
This curse suggests that running backs who accumulate 370 touches in a season often experience a decline in
production the following year.

However, Henry’s performance on the field in 2022 showed no signs of decline. He averaged an impressive 4.4 yards
per carry and proved to be as challenging to bring down as ever, breaking an astonishing 35 tackles. Clearly, if
there was any decline, it did not manifest on the field.

King Henry’s Unprecedented Dominance: Carrying the Tennessee Titans to Success Amidst Passing-Game Challenges

The Tennessee Titans’ passing-game weapons may be lacking this year, making Henry the focal point of the team’s
offensive strategy. If the Titans are going to make a significant impact this season with improved NFL Odds, it
will undoubtedly be on the back of Henry.

Expect Henry to once again exceed 325 carries in the 2023 season, marking the third time in four years he
achieves this feat. In what is likely his last season in Nashville, as it is the final year of his contract,
“King Henry” will strive to secure his third rushing title.

Derrick Henry has already solidified himself as a franchise legend and one of the greatest running backs of all
time for the Tennessee Titans. His career has been nothing short of Hall of Fame-worthy, and even if he were to
retire today, his achievements would merit induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Some may consider this a bold statement, but the sheer dominance Henry has exhibited over the past four to five
years is incredibly rare. If five dominant seasons were enough for Gale Sayers, why should it not be for Derrick
Henry? Since 2018, Henry leads the league in all-purpose yards, surpassing every other player. Moreover, he has
accumulated 760 more rushing yards and 20 more rushing touchdowns than the next closest running back.

Henry is a titan among legends.

Derrick Henry’s Quest for NFL Records and Hall of Fame Glory in 2023

As remarkable as Henry’s career has been, there is still potential for him to achieve even greater heights. He
has already made a significant impact in a Titans uniform, but in 2023, he has the opportunity to surpass several
records that would further strengthen his case for the Hall of Fame.

This season, Henry has a realistic chance of becoming the all-time franchise rushing leader. With 8,335 career
rushing yards, he currently ranks third on the Titans/Oilers all-time franchise leaderboard, trailing only Earl
Campbell (8,574) and Eddie George (10,009). A 1,675-yard season in 2023 would propel Henry to the top and secure
his place as the franchise’s rushing leader, a feat that is well within his reach.

Furthermore, surpassing George would also propel Henry into the exclusive 10,000-yard rushing club, making him the
32nd player in NFL history to achieve this milestone. What’s even more astonishing is that Henry is just 1.675
yards away from George’s record, accomplishing it in 983 fewer carries.

In addition, Henry is on the brink of holding one of the most impressive records in football history. Currently
tied with O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson for the all-time record of games with 200 or more rushing yards (six),
Henry needs just one more such game to claim this record solely for himself. The next highest active player on
this list is Dalvin Cook, with a mere two such games. If Henry can achieve this feat in 2023, he will establish
himself as one of the greatest running backs of all time.

The 2023 Tennessee Titans promise to be an exciting team to watch this fall. From the potential emergence of a
young quarterback to the possible breakout of Treylon Burks, every Sunday will be a must-see event for Titans
fans. However, if for no other reason, tune in to witness every time Henry carries the ball. After all, you
never know when history might be made.
