With a superb NFL night from the dominant defense force, the Seattle Seahawks controlled all the stages of the game and beat the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium 24-3 on “MNF”. It was the last game to rap up week 4, the defense was to much for the G men, Seattle sacked quarterback Daniel Jones 11 times, they also made Jones to commit three turnovers-  fumble and two interceptions and none more notable than rookie Devon Witherspoon’s 97 yard pick-6 that turned the game on its ear.

Seattle was able to score in all the quarters and move their record this season for 3-1, including a perfect 2-0 record away from home. The defense did its work, with the double-digit sacks 11, tied the Ravens who in 2018 on week 6 had also 11 sacks against the Titans.

Quarterback Geno Smith left the game for a while, had been shaken up on a “dirty play” , had a quiet but effective night, with 110 passing yards, 65,0% completion and 1 touchdown. Geno who had played in New York, was returning to MetLife Stadium. Second quarterback Drew Lock was forced to cover Smith who was out of the medical tent and headed later to the locker room. Lock who had not played since week 18 of the 2021 season, immediately took over after Smith was sidelined and helped on a seven-play, 75-yard drive that included a 51-yard completion to tight end Noah Fant, Ken Walker finished off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run.

mnf giants vs seahawksWhat’s Wrong With The Giants

The Giants have been outscored by 68 points in the first half through four weeks of the current NFL season. That’s tied for the worst first half point differential through weeks since at least 2000.

Giants quarterback keeps on struggling this season, yesterday was sacked 11 times, he completed 27-of-34 passes for 203 yards, NO touchdowns and two interceptions, which included one by rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon.

Now it gets even tougher for the G men, they needed to win last night, the following games are against road matchups against AFC powers Miami and Buffalo on deck, this team looks sloppy, dysfunctional.

The team has an abysmal offensive line and terrible first half starts do not help Daniel Jones rushing ability, he needs to correct all, and  if not he will be a candidate to get benched for future games.

Their terrible offense with the same old problems continued from last year, from Evan Neals struggles to a blown stunt to problems with the snap from center being consistent.

What did the NFL predictions say for this game?

Even so quarterback Geno Smith played well (and even had to leave the game for a small period) he did have his touchdown, the victory for last nights game came from its defense who controlled the game and sacked, interceptions, turnovers, and touchdowns to quarterback Daniel Jones, who did not make any touchdowns and the absence of Saquon Barkley further complicates the Giants situation. And those who did a wise choice with the Seahawks made a point.
