Ruidoso Downs, located in the sleepy town of Lincoln Country, New Mexico. The Ruidoso Downs Race Track, Billy the Kid Casino and the Hubbard Museum of the American West are located in the city. Back in1947 they hosted their first pari-mutuel race.

Sunland Park Racetrack opened its doors back in 1959. The track offers quarter horses and thoroughbreds racing throughout the year. The signature event at Sunland of the same name is held in March each year and is a prep race for the Kentucky Derby.

Zia Park is located in the city of Hobbs, New Mexico. The track offers live horse racing from September to December every year.
