The 2026 Kentucky Derby field is doing what it always does in the final three weeks: contracting, shifting, and forcing decisions on connections who have spent the better part of a year chasing points. A handful of horses currently sitting inside the top 20 are genuinely questionable starters. A couple more are almost certainly not running.
